Elle retourne aux \r\n\u00c9tats-Unis pour l'universit\u00e9 et y est rest\u00e9e depuis.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin-left: 30px;margin-top: 10px;margin-bottom: 10px\">\r\nUn p\u00e8re grand lecteur de science-fiction\r\nlui en a donn\u00e9 le go\u00fbt tr\u00e8s jeune. Elle \u00e9crit ses premiers textes\r\n\u00e0 treize-quatorze ans, les envoie \u00e0 des magazines qui les refusent\r\ntous, mais continue contre vents et mar\u00e9es. Puis elle suit tous les\r\ncours d\u2019\u00e9criture que l\u2019universit\u00e9 peut lui offrir. Ensuite elle\r\nfait un break et, pendant toute une p\u00e9riode, se concentre sur\r\nl\u2019\u00e9criture de ses chansons.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin-left: 30px;margin-top: 10px;margin-bottom: 10px\">\r\nSa premi\u00e8re vente professionnelle est <i>20\r\nWays the Desert Could Kill You<\/i> en 2012. Elle remporte le prix\r\nSturgeon avec <i>In Joy, Knowing the Abyss Behind<\/i> (2013),\r\n\u00e9galement nomin\u00e9 pour le prix Nebula. Elle re\u00e7oit un prix N\u00e9bula\r\nen 2015 avec <i>Our Lady of the Open Road<\/i>, \u00e9galement finaliste\r\ndu prix Sturgeon.
